I have been to this dentist twice this year. I have no insurance so I am self pay. Staff: staff from the front desk to the hygienists and providers are kind and personable. Yes, I expect professional from those who provide care for me but as a nurse I know the value of making people feel comfortable. Like you’re around normal people and not robots. So I do also expect to feel welcomed and at home with those who are about to be digging in my mouth. And I definitely do!! The first time I came was March where they took X-rays and completed a thorough assessment of my oral health. They walked me through everything. However I am not afraid to ask questions because I really want to understand WHY they suggest certain things and what level of risks I take on by not doing it. Dr. Morales (spelling?) answers my questions and educates me on anything I don’t understand. Ultimately it’s my decision to move forward with any treatment plan. They sat in the room with me and walked me through billing before they did my cleaning so I didn’t have any surprise charges that came up. I knew exactly what I was agreeing to before it occurred. I did end up joining the dental program they have because it is cheaper with it. Even with that though their pricing is middle to high end of the “typical” range. However, my experience and treatment at a dentist is important to me. I’m willing to pay a little more to get thorough work done without feeling rushed. It’s like running your car through a $5 gas station car wash vs getting a detail of your car. One is cheaper and faster the other expensive and time consuming. But you as a patient have autonomy to choose your experience. Yea they both “technically” clean but one is much more likely to get damaged or be unsatisfactory. Your choice. Second time I went was for my 6 month follow up and had no issues as well. Saw Dr. Morales again which I liked because of the continuity of care. Also It felt homey and familiar and staff remembered me despite only being there once before months prior. I will be getting all of my wisdom teeth removed by their oral surgeon at the end of October. The procedure is definitely expensive and not something most people have just laying around to spend on their teeth. I was able to get a discount with the dental plan I had signed up for at my first visit that helped some though. But they educated me and worked with me. I agreed to the procedure during the second visit. I want to be proactive not reactive with my health and many times that looks like investing in yourself. One thing I could critique though is that their location can be hard to get to if you're not familiar with it. I always get my steps in when I go because i circle the building a few times before I can find it. Parking is only free the first two hours in the garage. So come early so you can find it but not so early that you’re stuck paying for parking. Second thing is that scheduling is extremely tight with their oral surgeon. He only comes once a month which could possibly be very inconvenient or not feasible for a lot of people.

I just visited Dentists at the Grove for the first time as a new patient. Everyone on team is very welcoming and I had an overall excellent experience. Jessica Schlaen and Tania were fantastic. Thanks so much!!

I had an amazing service today. Dr. Jessica Schlaen and Dr. Arlette were awesome. They both made me feel so comfortable and safe. They explained every step they were doing so thoroughly and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. I was a new patient today and I will definitely be coming back.
